September, 7 2018: Pipeline Integrity Specialist

West Texas Gas is seeking a Pipeline Integrity Specialist (Transmission) for our compliance office in Amarillo, TX. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and further development of the company’s Transmission Integrity Management Program. The candidate must have excellent knowledge and skills within; Pipeline Regulations (Federal and State) and Pipeline Integrity Management Practices. In depth corrosion skills would be beneficial for the candidate. The candidate will work directly with the compliance department to integrate asset data with ongoing Federal and State compliance activities.

The position is a full time, permanent hire with benefits.


  • Associates degree or higher

Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years Pipeline Experience
  • DOT pipeline compliance and operations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word / Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel to field locations within our operations areas (Texas Panhandle, West Texas, South Texas, Oklahoma Panhandle and Southwest Kansas) Which includes overnight stays

Location: Midland, Texas


  • Search land records to locate surface ownership
  • Obtain right of way easements for pipeline and surface sites
  • Evaluate in-house records for annual payments, company rights and responsibilities in maintaining easements and pipeline systems
  • Work as liaison between company personnel and landowners on the phone and in the field concerning maintenance questions and problems

  • Prepare gas sales invoices and gas purchase statements
  • Reconcile volumes and third party gas purchase invoices
  • Track and maintain balances at all receipt and delivery points
  • Maintain volume history for all receipt and delivery points
  • Evaluate gas sales and transportation opportunities
  • Schedule gas transportation on third party pipeline scheduling systems

  • Backhoe Operator- Knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local DOT vehicle ordinances are a must, Skilled in performing heavy equipment maintenance work in a safe, efficient manner; Required one year of related equipment operations experience.
  • Field Crew  – Knowledge of poly pipeline construction, leak repair, & general roustabout practices a plus, Knowledge of tools, materials, and methods of pipeline construction to work in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Line Walker  -Must be physically able to walk long distances following natural gas lines.
  • Meter Technician -Looking for a dependable individual with knowledge of computer basics.  Experience in oil and gas industry a must.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test, criminal history check and motor vehicle records check and have a valid Texas Driver’s License. Excellent Salary, Paid Vacation, Medical Insurance, and 401k. Must be 21 to apply.
